Like Water For Chocolate, for the win.
I definitely have to second with Like Water For Chocolate. His lyrical flow is sentimental and honest, as always; this was the album that brought him into the spotlight as an artist.
Yeah, that album had some of Common's bigger hits of his career up to that point.

I might get shot for this, but I look for creativity within the artist. So even though it's probably his WORST album, I'm going with "Electric Circus."
Part of the reason is due to the song with Jill Scott, "I Am Music". Then again, i'm not a huge fan of Common.
