I decided to put together a tutorial section to help walkthrough the new features of the site.
If you notice this symbol
anywhere on the site, click it to get help.
What's the Rhyme Feed Link?
What is it?
Clicking on this link (depending on what browser you use) may lead you to a strange looking page, like so:

This is the 'insides' of an RSS feed, written in XML, which allows you to keep up-to-date on all the new rhymes added.
In other words, whenever a new rhyme is added, the feed will be updated and you will be notified (if you are subscribed of course).
Subscribing
The important part of this page is the URL (pictured below).

Simply copy & paste this URL and save it for the following steps (see below).
*Note: Newer browsers have built-in RSS readers, and will render pretty (see further below).
Subscribing in Google Reader
- Go to Google Reader (you may have to create an account).
- Click the 'Add a subcription' button to add the feed, then click 'Add.'

Subscribing in Thunderbird
- Download Thunderbird if you don't already have it and start up the application.
- Be in the feeds section, then click 'Manage subscriptions' (pictured below).

- Once in the 'Manage subcription' section, click 'Add' and add the URL in the 'Feed URL' section (pictured below).

Subscribing in Mac Mail (via Safari)
- After clicking the 'Rhyme Feed' link, a new window will open with all the latest rhymes.
- Now find link that says, 'Subscribe in Mail' (pictured below).
- Mac Mail will walk you through the rest (sorry, I don't use this).

How does the 'favorite rhymes' system work?
What is it?
This was a new feature added in the end of December that allows users the ability for users to keep track of their favorite rhymes.
Adding a Rhyme to your Favorites List
Each and every rhyme has a 'Add to Favorites' link above the rhyme. Simply click on it to add the rhyme to your favorite's list.

Removing a Rhyme from your Favorites List
You can remove rhymes after adding them by clicking on the 'Remove from Favorites' link.

Viewing your Favorite Rhymes List
You can view your favorite rhymes list from your profile page.
Click on the 'View Your Favorites' tab to view your favorites.
You can also remove favorite rhymes from your favorite's list as well.

How do I set up a Last.fm account?
What is it?
The first of possibly more widgets to add to your profile page. Last.fm is a social community website that has a focus on music. It keeps track of your music listening history, provided you have their software installed and running (discussed below). I thought it would be cool to view what everyone is listening to.
Step 1 - Creating an account
- You can join the social community (free of charge) by clicking -> here.
Step 2 - Downloading the Scrobbler
- Download the free Last.fm Software -> here.
- Install the application and open it.
*Note: You can scrobble from several different Media Players, although I can't say for sure which ones.
*Note: If you are a Pandora fan, you can use Pandora.FM, which allows you to scrobble your Pandora playlist.
Step 3 - Sign in to your account
Open the preferences window and under 'Account' sign into your Last.fm Account.

Step 4 - Make sure you are scrobbling
Make sure Scrobbling is set to 'on' in the right corner.
If it's set to 'off' just click on the little blue triangle icon to turn it on.

Step 5 - Start listening to music
Ah, my favorite part! Start listening to some hip-hop!

What are 'spits?'
What is it?
'Spitting' is the equivalent of Facebook's "What's on your mind?" or a Tweet on Twitter.
It's just a way to shout what you feel like shouting. The last 10 'spits' will appear on the home page.
'Spitting'
You can 'spit' from your profile page or the home page (as long as you are logged in).
Simply type your 'spit' in the form field and click 'spit it!' (see below).

*Note: Your 'spit' is limited to 80 characters.
Previous 'spits'
You can view your previous 10 'spits' on your profile page (see below).
